The short version: everything you record about your baby stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We do not run servers, we have no account system, and we cannot see your data. The only third party involved is Google, which serves the ads that keep the app free.
This policy describes how the Nouri Baby iOS app handles information. It is provided by the app's developer, Mykola Kobetiak ("we", "us"). If you have questions, write to kobetiakm@gmail.com.
Nouri Baby is a log. You enter information about your baby and the app stores it so you can read it back. That includes:
The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address or payment details. There is no sign-up and no account.
Teeth and vaccination entries are information about a child's health, and vaccination status in particular is treated as a special category of personal data under the laws of several countries. They are handled exactly as every other record in this app is — written on your device, synced only to your own iCloud, never transmitted to us and never readable by us. We call them out separately because the sensitivity deserves saying plainly, not because anything different happens to them.
Records are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync to your own private iCloud database, which is how the app makes your log available on your other devices and restores it if you replace your phone.
That iCloud storage belongs to you, not to us. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it. We do not operate any server that receives your baby's records, and there is no mechanism by which we could read them.
The published reference material the app shows your records beside — the WHO growth tables behind the weight chart, the tooth eruption ages on the teeth chart, and the list of vaccines WHO recommends for all children — is bundled inside the app itself. Placing your baby's records beside any of it happens entirely on your device. Nothing about your baby is sent anywhere to draw a chart or to fill in those screens, and all of it works with no connection.
The teeth and vaccination screens each carry a link out to the organisation the reference material came from — the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization. Those links open in your browser and take you off the app. We send nothing to those sites about you or your baby; once you are there, their own privacy policies apply rather than this one.
The app can turn a spoken sentence into records. When you use this feature:
Siri shortcuts are handled by Apple. What you say to Siri is subject to Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
The app is free and shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process information such as device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, and interactions with ads. We do not receive your baby's records through this — the ad system has no access to them — but Google does receive advertising data as described in Google's policy for partner sites and apps.
Before any ad is requested, the app shows a consent message from Google's certified consent platform. Your choice determines whether you see personalised or non-personalised advertising. You can change it at any time from Baby → Preferences → Ad privacy inside the app.
iOS asks separately whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the app does not access the advertising identifier and you will see less relevant ads. Declining does not reduce any other feature.
We include no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of our own. We do not measure how you use the app, and we receive no reports about you.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK described above does collect diagnostic and advertising data for Google's own purposes, including crash and performance information and which ads were shown. That goes to Google, not to us, and it is listed on the app's App Store privacy label.
Nouri Baby is a tool for parents and caregivers. It is intended for use by adults and is not directed to children. It records information about an infant, entered by an adult; it is not designed for, marketed to, or usable by children.
Because your records never leave your control, you exercise your rights directly in the app rather than by asking us:
We cannot fulfil an access or deletion request on your behalf, for the simple reason that we hold nothing to act on.
Records are kept until you delete them. We do not impose a retention period because we do not hold the data.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
